This is great guys

Wow it's great to see & hear how everyone is doing after 20 yrs, I still can't believe it's been that long. I'll start by thanking Dave & saying sorry to Tobi. Thanks Dave, for coaching me through this blog thing. Sorry Tobi, for.... well my spelling is comparable to my computer skills. A breif & boring history. I went to work for an insulation company right out of high school. Started Martec Insulations in 96. It has become an incredibly time consuming non profit organization, ( wasn't intended for that purpose, just worked out that way.) What have I accomplished in the last 20yrs? Not much, I have team of the year awards 2002, & 2005 for the Southern Alberta Walleye Trail. It's pretty sad when your proud of your competitive fishing skills, hehe. I have one child, Tyson Holzwarth was born sept 29th 2004 Since that day everything else in life seems trivial at best. He is incredible, blond hair, blue eyes, & so cute, but other than that he looks just like me. I finally got married at 36 years old, & was going through a divorce before I turned 37, duh! Now I am seeing someone so amazing she makes me wonder what the hell I was doing with the first 36 years of my life. I won't mention her name because it's on the list to the right, & I'm not sure she is ready to admit to dating me yet. Ha! (way to put her on the spot eh.) On another note, I have 24 paid green fees,& 12 carts for Magrath. ( don't ask it goes back to that non profit thing) I'll trade them for say.....supper & bar tab for my table. Once again. It's great to see, & hear from everyone again. Mark.

Hey dude I remeber eating some beer battered fish with you once, it was a whole bunch of YumYum. Dating a girl on the list... nice...

Kids have a way of changing your whole oultlook on life.

I say golf should play out like this. Hit, Drink, Hit, Drink, Putt, Drink, Putt, Drink. Repeat. Add Hits, Putts, and Drinks as needed.

Mark, do you still drink that soft dink Mr. Pibb? do you & melissa remember that summer we use to sit at the School in the front where the Elementry library is after you got off work, sometimes we would have a soda fight and you'd go back down town and get 3 more sodas? That was a fun summer. Know lets come out of the closet and and let us all in on the mystery women........mind you this is kinda fun to read what everyone thinks. Who ever she is she's got one of the nicest guys, way to go ;)

That's funny... Tobi asked me who I wished I would have dated or asked out or made out with. I wished I had asked out Teresa, I was at a party once and she just seemed like a fun chick. She was always happy and kinda cute to boot...

Hey Mark/Rich/Larry... Finish off this statement "If she laid down..."

I used that just recently and it brought me a whole bunch of WTF looks.

Oh my god Dave, I'm having hilarious flashbacks right now! Rich on fire, Rich getting knocked out of a truck by a tree. It's amazing nobody got hurt. Man that summer working for the town was fun. It wasn't the 3.65 per hr that kept me going to work every day.
I must explain that was an inside generic joke directed at no one in particular....., and dozens in general. Wow I'm becoming the riddler. hehe.
Hey Tobi, if Sean would like, and it's ok with you, he could come out in the boat for a couple hours that weekend. I promise he'll have fun.
Oh....and Dave, (kinda cute) HUGE understatement.

Mark.

Yeah... the summers working were pretty great. I remember drinking the Hooch that Garth would keep in the fridge in the town shop. I think he used it to de-grease engines and kill brain cells.

The thing I figured out, is that I rountinely looked over some of the hottest girls in school because I was all weird over Monica/Melissa/Angie.

I should have stayed single and just fooled around more.

and partied more...

Are we saying "Mark and Teresa sitting in a tree K I S S I N G ..."

Did we figure out the secret?

I still tell the Rich on fire story, it got me perks for some time after. Just cause I didn't squeal on Bob for lighting me on fire, he watched my back for years. I was surrounded by Raymond boys that wanted to beat the pulp out of me over a girl thing...and guess who showed up and saved the day, yep Bobby M. Good times, and lucky times.

Dave, I can't remember the ending of the phrase, but my memory is slowly unlocking as I read these postings...good or bad.

Remember I was lit on fire cause I was wearing the 3 foot stilts and couldn't do anything about it...just after Scott B went to the hospital after our stilt race and he slipped and nailed his nards on a steel post...leaving me the lone stilt man...

I am rolling on the floor!
This is hilarious remembering, re-telling and learning about all the good old stories.

You guys all crack me up!!
Melissa

PS:Sorry I was such an idiot.
Over, and over, and over.......

It all came back to me yesterday, and I'm sure I fell asleep laughing. Picture this.... Rich on stilts, the source of the flame was around his ankles,(gasoline I think, my god we were insane) the flames reached to his back pockets, and Bobby "the big red headed monster" panics, and starts violently beating the flames out with his bare hands. Notice I said flames, not the source of the flames. I thought he was going to break Rich's legs, but Rich stayed in an upright position through it all.

Terri, I do remember that summer, everytime I drink a soda out of a glass bottle.
Does pop out of a glass bottle really taste that much better? Or is it just that it reminds you of your youth? Things that make you go.... hmmmm.

Hi Mark!

Soooo....if the rumour about your mystery girl is correct where is she and when is she gonna post??? Her and I could do some real reminiscing and wtf was I thinking stuff???? (I mean really...who keeps a list of all the guys who set foot in their apartment????)

Nice to see you are happy...maybe we will run into each other again sometime at Pop's.......

Terri said...

Mark,
What a way to make us feel old...NOT! But soda out of a glass bottle and remembering our youth....Wow. This has been fun remembering and reading what others remember and learning things we didn't know about some. Say do they even make that soda drinl anymore?

Oh my god, Mark, if the rumor is true TT better be posting soon!!!

I remember Rich falling out of the
back of the truck, and cought his heel on the tailgate. It ripped the sole right off his shoe, all he had
on his foot was the laces. And I remember Mark trying to burn down the fish pond with a can of WD-40 and a lighter. Did we do any work that summer, or cause more for someone else.

Rich said...

Ahhh, all those fond bonding moments. If lived through our youth why do we need to be so protective of our own children?

Cathy said...

Mark,
What's up with the golf? When and where? I think my husband Matt may want to play. Course I guess I should ask him first!

Hey Mark,

Sad isn't it, that the only time we see each other is when we are driving past one another, and wave.
That sounds good,Let me know when Scott comes down.Pick a night that
dosen't have 'Name that tune', last time at Bo's when I was driving home, it was "Where's my house"

Talk to you later

Rich said...

Oh Yeah Dave...that did bring back the memories.....although I think they are memories I should leave be. It was one of those "Oh yeah, chuckle chuckle" kind of memory!
