I don't think I have talked to you in 20 years, sounds like you are doing great, beautiful family. Great to hear you found your birth mother, that's really cool. Let's catch up in July.

Dean, you have a truly beautiful family.. your pictures are great - the dubai hotel, water scenes, etc - what cool things and places to see ... And what awesome family photos, your kids are so sweet!... Yeah, the first picture you posted of you was a little out there.. made me laugh, but glad you decided to post the "real thing". How neat to hear that you have been able to be united with your birth family.. I'm looking forward to chatting at the reunion! Take care!

Stunning photographs. Beautiful family.
I'd have to say you're still an enigma. And I did happily read every word of your post! I must have been an idiot - I didn't even know you were adopted. Was I self-absorbed, or what. :)
It will be great to see you and meet your people!

Really wonderful fotos of your family,I'm happy all is well in your life. So was it a bit scary meeting your real mom? It's really terrific that now you can spend time with her. If I'd have known how to get a hold of you after your Mom and Dad passed away I would have contacted you, I'm really sorry about your loss they were awesome people!! My parents were asking about you and if you had a family, now I can let them see your family pics, if you don't mind that is? It really has been 20yrs since I've seen you, 12yrs of school together and then you disappeared to the States, can't blame ya if you'd never go back to D.B. I rarely visit anymore with family/friends there, they usually meet us in Lethbridge. Can't wait to see you Dean and your family, Take Care and see ya soon!!!

HI Dean, what a great family you have. Your pictures are beautiful.I got to meet my bio dad this past summer. What a surreal experience. He even moved closer to me so we could get to know eachother. It's a little tricky with my parents still living in Magrath, but I manage. I'd love to hear how your handling it. Can't wait to see you and your family!

WOW, you all have been busy the last few days, thanks for all the comments. I’m going to try and go down the list and reply to each of you.

Hey Ranae,
Yes, I think your wedding may be the last time that I saw you. (Unless you came to my reception, which I think you did, but it is still a long time ago.)

Rich,
The Zodiac’s were good! Aries – Had to go with my sign you know. Best part was I didn’t even pay for the ticket. I was cashing in a winning $2 ticket that my dad had gotten for me and at the last second I decided to take a buck and try my luck. Picked through the Aries stack of tickets and then couldn’t believe my eyes!

Tobi,
It has been a very, very long time, probably the last day of high school. That is pretty much the last time that I saw most of the class. It will be great to see you again. I think that it is your turn to post a picture and give us all an update.

Mary,
Thanks for all of your kind words. You are as sweet as ever. Glad you liked my first picture too.

Melissa,
Yeah, I have seen and done a lot of things throughout different areas of the world. I never even dreamed about going to all of these different places. It has gotten a little tiring lately though and sometimes I don’t know if I’m coming or going. Don’t worry about the typing errors; I think that Ruby will be Ok with it. When I took Typing 20 I was WAY behind on the assignments at the end of the year, so I just turned in about 75 percent of the assignments from Typing 10. It worked out well; I think I ended up with an A. The best part was that all of the assignments were all ready graded from the previous year. She must have thought that she had already graded them and not marked them down. I loved high school!

Heather,
It was a little scary meeting my real mom, but not too bad. From the beginning I had a feeling that everything was gong to work out and be a great experience and it was and still is. By all means, you may share my pictures with your parents. They really are great too. I have great memories of 4-H activities, camps, etc. I’m not sure if I would want to relive all of those years over again, but I wouldn’t mind having a vacation to the past for a couple of weeks. ☺

Maryse,
That is really neat that you have been able to meet your dad. We have both had some unique experiences with parents it sounds like. I had always wondered about my berth mother, but never wanted to search her out while my parents were alive as I knew that it would have probably heart my adopted Mom’s feelings a lot. I think that she always wondered how much I accepted her. It really had been a great experience, my Mom lives in Airdrie and of course because of the distance we don’t get to see each other much. But, I have spent a week with her and my “new” brothers and sister up there, and she was able come down and spent a couple of weeks with my family at Christmas a couple of years ago. Everybody has been handling it really well and she is excited to be a Grandmother finally as my other bio siblings have not had any children yet. They all told me thank you because now they do not have to have any kids. The only problems that I have had have been with my other siblings from my adopted family. I get the impression from them like they are mad at me for having a relationship with my Mom and that I am leaving my old family for a new one or something like that. So I don’t talk to them about her, but that really doesn’t help either as they think that I am hiding stuff from them. That’s one benefit of living almost a thousand miles away from them all.

I currently have a phone number in Lethbridge as well as one in Calgary that both ring to my house here in Utah. If anyone ever wants to talk in real life, drop me an email and I’ll send you my phone number.

Michelle,
I almost for you, how could I forget you. You are too funny. Enigma? My life is an open book; it just takes a lot to be able to open the book. Don’t worry about not knowing I was adopted. Some people were aware and some weren’t. I definitely would not call you self-absorbed. I hardly know anything about you, so we are even. :-)
