Sweet, sweet, picnic action...

The idea for a picnic including families has been tossed out there. I like the idea, I see it fitting in perfect on Saturday after the parade, we’ll all be in town, hungry and hopped up from riding around on a float. I say we eat at someone’s house, maybe invite a few people over who didn’t graduate like Rhonda, Jude and Karin and whoever else we pick up in the meantime. Kids can run amok in Magrath or at the picnic. Let’s roast an animal or at least animal parts and keep the fun rolling. In case you are wondering, the rationale behind the Friday reception is many of us have not seen each other in 20 years and we would like to get reacquainted in an environment where we are all on neutral territory and equal footing. It has also been put out there That spouses/dates are entirely optional. I would not even dream of inflicting this insider event on an outsider. There will be tons of inside jokes and “remember when…” stories flying around. If you weren’t there and didn’t know the people, it might be painful to attend. Let's not hurt the ones we love, or would like to love, in some cases.
